Outside looking in.

Today’s daily prompt was to tell about the outsider looking in.

The first thing that comes to mind is school. It starts in elementary school and gets worse as the years go by. High School is the worst of all. There are the cool kids. Then there are the rest of the kids . Each falls into other categories but basically below the cool kids all the rest get ridiculed, picked on and made fun of.

After all the years of telling kids how bad this is it still happens. The group of cool kids that every other child wants to be part of usually are the ones who do most of the bullying, ridiculing and picking. WHY!

Most of these kids come from the same type of parents. Still dose not make sense. These days were they start in kindergarten telling all the little people how wonderful it is to be different. Be themselves stand up to bullies ect. Yet a lot of times by the end of the school years there   the cool group and the rest are outsiders.

Once you make it through those years you realize how stupid it all was. But I think many of you will agree that have been through it; how at the time it was very seriously the end of the world to you! There is no way not to be emotionally hurt over the needless pain and suffering that those kids cause.

Once you get away from high school it all changes. The group may still be friends but you learn that they are not important and there is a very big world out there. This world is full of people as different and unique as you are.

I wish that for all the children right now on the outside ,looking in at those cool kids, the ones living with being bullied, ridiculed and suffering emotional hurt that you would take a step back and know that it will not matter in a few years. You have your whole lives ahead of you to become the unique person you are.
