Writing is not as easy as you think.

When most people think of writing they think of some one sitting down and just writing. It really is not that easy. Once you decide what you want to write about , then you have t think of how you are going to write it.

If it is a story you are writing it is easier than an article or a subject you are not familiar with. Still believe it or not even a story takes some thinking, research and figuring out how you are going to write it. If you want the reader to see your subject the way you do then you have to describe it in a way that the reader will see it the way you mean for it to be seen.

For example if you wrote. The girl ran down the beach. Now everyone that read that has a picture in their mind of a girl running down the beach. But I will bet that everyone of those people have a different picture in their mind. The girl has every color of hair , style of hair, out fit and body style known to man now.

But if you wrote: The girl ran down the beach in her jogging out fit . Her long dark hair was blowing in the morning breeze as her bare feet dug into the sand. The picture in the readers mind just got a lot closer to everyone else.

Sometimes it is good to let people picture your writing in their own way and other times you want them to picture exactly what you are writing. The catch is to know when to leave it alone and when to make the reader see what you are trying to get them to see.
